What a wonderful idea I thought, a Reading Vacation, as soon as my friend Sonia mentioned about it, a few years ago when in Goa.

Is reading magazines counted as reading? What about film magazines? Gossip about the more public personalities? Is reading Mills & Boons a worthwhile exercise? Is reading a best seller the same as keeping up with the fashion in clothes or accessories? My dad used to read the dictionary for hours together and also read a few India Todays along with The Times of India. Is he a well read man?

Here stands the library. In a garage - a make-shift garage to be precsie. The corrugated sheets covered with a blue and silver plastic - ostensibly to protect "The Book Leaf" from rain. One half of the floor is cemented and the other half is made of interlocking red tiles - what a mix! The cemented part is interesting and looks alive with the cow jumping over the moon and the little (or not so little?) dog laughing.
